Start with the rights attached to the video. Owning an account or finding a public link does not automatically give you permission to save and reuse the file.
Check whether the creator offers a download, whether the platform permits it, and whether your planned use is covered. If any part is unclear, ask before downloading.
A practical checklist
- Confirm you own the video or have explicit permission to save it.
- Use an official export or creator-enabled download when one is available.
- Choose the source quality that fits your storage and editing needs.
- Keep a record of where the file came from and when you saved it.
VidTransfer only processes a download when an authorized file is available. Recognizing a link is not the same as granting access to its media.
